It means that YGK is in this for the pure love of music. In fact, the word 'pure' is an ace selection for capturing the essence of YGK and what we're all about. Our intentions, our outlook, our process, and our journey is a pure, genuine one.
 
While the average record labels invests several hours signing contracts with artists for exclusive rights to their records and ironing out the label-artist cut ratio on future record sales,  the YGK Records team is instead out and about, playing our latest label release for the new acquintance or friend in our life, simultaneously being struck and restruck again ourselves by the sheer brilliance of that recording. While the average show promoter or production team offers up minimum guarantees to the band's agent, we provide band members with free drinks, meals, accomodations, and a flexible door deal that suits their individualistic and collective needs. 

As avid music fans, we know that when you appreciate music, one of the best things that you can do is help and support musicians in their musical journey. Since our 2009 inception, we have and will continue to help musicians by: booking shows, setting up interviews with media outlets, promoting shows (through a variety of different methods social networking, internet, radio, postering, etc), coordinating shows. On the label side, we also write professional press releases for new YGK label releases, help artists/musicians get their music out there, craft the content for music profiles, write reviews, and provide management services.

We can play a variety of different roles, and wear many different hats at YGK! The number one priority is generating music awareness and working directly with artists/musicians to help them achieve their goals! A pure, genuine love for music drives us, and compells us to do this. Ultimately, we believe in music, and we believe in navigating the music industry in a spirit that is pure, genuine.....and one that is uniquely YGK.
